On 20 May 2010, the Public Interest Law Alliance (PILA), a project of FLAC, hosted the launch of a new scholarly publication, Irish Human Rights Law Review, published by Clarus Press.
The Review is published on an annual basis. It was launched by the Ombudsman, Emily O'Reilly. The other speakers at the event were the Review's Editor, Donncha O'Connell, and Michael Farrell of FLAC.
The inaugural issue of the Review contains articles and case notes by, among others: The Hon. Justice Michael Kirby, formerly of the Australian High Court; Professor Rick Lawson of the University of Leiden; Colm O Cinneide of University College London; Senator Alex White, BL; Siobhan Phelan, BL; Marie McGonagle of NUI Galway; and Dr. Alpha Connelly, former CEO of the Irish Human Rights Commission. For full details of this issue and sample contributions see: www.claruspress.ie.
The Review should be of interest to practitioners, academics, activists and students involved in various kinds of human rights work.
